“The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.”
Eleanor Roosevelt

Amal academy is a platform that helps youth to work towards their dreams and goals. When i joined this academy I had no idea how much I would learn from this three months long fellowship. But like every layer of cake this fellowship was filled with surprises, excitement and the willingness to enjoy the whole journey. The very top sugar coated layer had the flavors of values which helped me realize its importance . Values are the motive behind purposeful action. They are the set belief that allows us to differentiate between right, wrong and undesirable. At Amal during our first week we were taught about five Amal values which includes Responsibility, Humility, Growth, Acceptance and Honesty. We were asked to make poster and the purpose of that activity was to make us acknowledge the importance of those values because those values makes us life long learner and implementation throughout life will make us responsible and self-aware being.

“Try not to become a man of success. Rather become a man of value.”
Albert Einstein

When my journey started i had one thing in mind which was to interact with the diversity of mindsets and experiences that would help me improve as an individual. And as expected Amal academy helped me a lot. People from all walks of life shared a same platform where we all share thoughts, ideas and believes which helped one another. The best experience at the very beginning of this journey was we all were equal whether we were doctors or artists and that equality helped us to come out of comfort zone. We all were at Amal to learn and it is said “Different roads sometimes lead to the same castle.”― George R.R. Martin. We started to build network with one another with time it helped us immensely. The balance and harmony of all colors somehow created a aesthetically appealing picture.

“There are darkness in life and there are lights, and you are one of the lights, the light of all lights.”
Bram Stoker

Before joining Amal academy i was terrible at public speaking , i used to hesitate a lot but i found my way out of that darkness. Amal taught me that we all are right the only difference is the way we think and perceive the situation. The way our facilitators appreciated us to come and share our thoughts helped me to improve day by day.

The journey of Amal fellowship has given me ever cherishing memories and all the learning has made me more self- aware and responsible being. Thank you Amal Academy i will try my best to follow all the learning and become a lifelong learner.
